Son Goku is a Super Saiyan, not Bardock. Bardock is Goku's father and a powerful Saiyan warrior, but he is not known to have achieved the Super Saiyan transformation. Goku, on the other hand, is the first Saiyan in many generations to achieve the legendary Super Saiyan form, which he first unlocked during his battle with Frieza on Planet Namek. **

The first legendary Super Saiyan was Yamoshi, as mentioned in the Dragon Ball Super series. The legend of the Super Saiyan did not originate from Bardock, but rather from Yamoshi, who was a Saiyan warrior who fought against his own people due to their evil ways. Bardock, the father of Goku, was not the legendary Super Saiyan, but he did play a significant role in the history of the Saiyan race. **
